老巴剎是东南亚地区仅存的英国维多利亚式建筑，外观相当精巧华丽。老巴剎原本是个传统菜市场，现在则翻修成美食、娱乐中心。每到夜晚街道会变成行人徒步，摊贩开始卖起各式沙爹、烧烤，热闹异常，是吃宵夜人气最旺的地方。
